The 9th Annual Ovarian & Gynecologic 5k Race/Walk at Monroe Community College, is a USTAF Registered course. The event is officially timed by PCR Timing, water stations are on the course. There will be post-race awards, refreshments and fun for all!
Every woman is at risk for developing a gynecologic cancer. It is estimated that there will be about 95,000 new cases diagnosed and approximately 29,000 deaths from gynecologic cancers in the United States during 2014 (American Cancer Society). Help us draw attention to Gynecologic Cancers - ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar, which pose significant threats to women’s health.
Race proceeds go to Cancer Wellness Connections, a Rochester area non-profit which provides free diversionary activities to more than 12,000 people annually who are receiving outpatient chemotherapy treatment at Rochester area hospitals. Activities include personal training, Reiki therapy, yoga and meditation, art therapy, manicures, crafts, games and snacks. Through your support you are helping improve the quality of life for people in our community.
