Cancer Wellness Connections was originally designed to provide comfort and care directly into the infusion clinics where women were actively receiving outpatient chemotherapy. Through various activities, our volunteers brought bright spots to treatment times. During the pandemic, we transitioned to virtual programming offering similar support to people in our community impacted by Gynecologic Cancers, helping them connect with wellness and wellbeing. It’s an exciting step to meet people where they are on their cancer journeys and support their social, emotional and physical needs. Because there is more to life than cancer!

Sexual Health During & After Gynecologic Cancers

*Group Session*

Changes in sexual experience are extremely common during and after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Topics include sexual health education specific to cancer survivors, relaxation training, cultivating self-compassion, improving and healing the relationship with the physical body. Led by Dr. Pebble Kranz, MD FECSM, a sexual medicine specialist who focuses on the sexual concerns of cancer survivors, and Jessica Janik, LPMFT, a sex and relationship therapist.

Next session Orientation on April 1, 2023, followed by sessions on 4/4,11,18 & 25

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

*Group Session* Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based program that offers secular, intensive mindfulness training originally designed to assist people with stress, anxiety, depression, and pain.
